Cortland, NY: Cayuga Cortland Workforce Development Board (CCWDB) has awarded Purplegator, a digital marketing agency that lifts clients’ campaigns through targeted promotional strategies, to promote the CCWDB’s programs aiding disadvantaged youth. Purplegator’s campaigns will help Cayuga Cortland youth (ages 16-24 who aren’t working or in school) by making them aware of opportunities available to them through CCWDB (funded by a WIOA grant). To inspire the youth to think about their future, Purplegator’s campaign strategy includes aspirational imagery and positive messaging. The campaigns will encourage and motivate the maximum intended audience to see what program opportunities are available to them, with the ultimate goal of maximizing the number of WIOA youth applicants for the Cayuga Cortland WIOA youth programs.

2022 Campaigns

Purplegator’s campaigns will promote the programs primarily through social media- specifically Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and gaming platforms. Over four months, each of ten unique campaigns will have a specific theme such as vocational exploration, career counseling, paid work experience, and more. There are many moving parts with a program of this breadth and scope.

2020 & 2021 Campaigns – Niagara County Workforce Development Board

Fortunately, this isn’t Purplegator’s first time promoting programs for an area workforce development board. In 2020 and 2021, Purplegator was awarded the contracts to do outreach targeting disadvantaged youth for the Niagara County Workforce Development Board. Some of the notable results Purplegator delivered for Niagara County included an increase from 304 website visits to 6,054 site visits and an impressive overall impression count of 7.8 million.

“We’ve seen what terrific work you’ve been doing for the Niagara County Workforce Development Board and we’re excited to be working with you and your team!” said Amy Buggs, Director, CCWDB.

Stay Tuned for 2022 Campaign Results

“We love working on workforce development projects,” says Vice President of Purplegator, Barb Breeser. “With all that we’ve learned from running campaigns for other areas in New York, we’re continually gathering more valuable data and refining our systems. This is a unique competitive edge for Purplegator that enables us to deliver fantastic results for our clients.”
